150,000+

excess manufacturing and service spares inventory reclamation, value recovery and recycling

massively global

  • multiple internal stakeholders

  • many global and regional vendors

  • non-uniform procedures and inconsistent data streams across vendors

  • archaic means of collaboration, communication and analysis

  • significant challenges around tracking chain of custody, reconciliation, financial settlement and end-of-life certification activities

  • inefficient go-to-market

  • end result: low recovery rates, high brand risk, high opportunity cost

  1. dramatically improve recovery rates while reducing brand risk

  2. gain end-to-end business intelligence to drive rapid, optimal decisions

  3. improve internal and external collaboration

  4. focus on strategy vs. non-accretive activities

definitions

we identified all business units within this large technology conglomerate that had the potential to produce excess or obsolete inventory that needed to be managed globally.

once the business units were identified, we defined roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders from different divisions including program management, logistics, finance, compliance and inventory controls.

finally, we determined all touchpoints concerning data input / output automation with echonos.
